For Patients and the Community

How will this impact health care in our region?

No aspects of care change today. As one health system, we will be able to create a more seamless patient experience, providing access to comprehensive, high-quality care when people are sick or injured and serving as a true partner in health to help keep people well.

Will I be able to see my same providers?

Yes. You can continue to see the same providers you know and trust without disruption and should keep your appointments and continue to visit the providers, clinics and facilities you always have. Our priority will always be providing excellent care to you and the communities we serve.

Will you continue to accept my insurance?

We are working to secure managed care or commercial insurance contracts for the TGH Crystal River, TGH Brooksville and TGH Spring Hill locations and expect that most contracts will be in effect on December 1. However, some contracts may be delayed and will not be in effect on December 1.

The following contract plans will consider TGH Crystal River, TGH Brooksville and TGH Spring Hill out-of-network until a contract is signed:

  • Humana Military - Tricare
  • Optum VA

We are working with these companies to initiate contracts as quickly as possible. Until contracts for Humana Military and Optum VA are secured, patients seeking elective services at one of the TGH North hospital locations may choose to:

  • Proceed with the elective service and be considered out-of-network
  • Wait until the TGH North hospital locations are contracted with the managed care companies
  • Seek to obtain their elective services at a facility that is considered in-network for their plan

We will notify you as soon as we have signed contracts with Humana Military – Tricare and Optum VA.

How do I access my medical records?

You can continue to access your medical records through your patient portal.

How will the change from a for-profit organization to a not-for-profit organization affect our community?

As a mission-driven not-for-profit organization, we can allocate more financial resources towards charitable initiatives, which significantly enhances our ability to meet the needs of the community we’re honored to serve.
